We are proud to have State Reference Laboratory under National AIDS control organization (NACO) which is NABL Accredited. SRL caters for Quality assessment and training for 31 ICTCs and 10 Blood Banks located in Vijayapur and Baglkote districts. Our laboratory is part of HIV Sentinel Surveillance Programme, conducted by NIE Chennai for ANC, HRG and Prisoners of Vijayapura and Bagalkote districts The State Reference Laboratory in the Department is actively involved in organizing EQAS (External Quality Assessment Programme), Training of technicians of ICTC/PPTCT and HIV sentinel surveillance programme under NACO. Viral load testing laboratory under National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) was established in 2018 serving around 12,000 on ART patients of Vijayapur and Bagalkote districts. Molecular Biology Laboratory was established in 2020 which is also NABL accredited and ICMR approved, contributed immensely during the COVID-19 pandemic by testing around 30,000 samples.
