It is important source of raw material for medicinal remedies It is natural repository of medicinal plants which signifies a rich heritage of traditional knowledge and plant diversity.

Department of Pharmacology BLDE(DU) Shri.B.M Patil Medical College Hospital & Research Centre has developed Medicinal Plants Garden which has 50 different medicinal plants.
