Achievements

The Department of ENT has a rich legacy of academic excellence, surgical innovations, and impactful community outreach. We were the first in Karnataka to organize hands-on cadaver dissection workshops for FESS and endo-ear surgeries in 2007, and have since hosted five International Skull Base Surgery Workshops (SKUBA I–V) with global experts like Dr. Prepageran Narayanan.

Our department has successfully conducted international CMEs, live surgery demonstrations, and free surgical camps in collaboration with Rotary International and other institutions. We’ve pioneered advanced procedures like navigation-guided skull base surgeries and endonasal trans-sphenoidal pituitary surgeries. Our faculty have earned accolades through VGST-funded research projects, numerous paper presentations, and over a dozen publications in reputed journals—continuing to uphold our commitment to excellence in education, research, and patient care.

Activities

The Department of ENT actively engages in a wide range of academic and clinical activities aimed at enhancing learning, skill development, and community service. Regular hands-on workshops such as Cochlear Implant and Temporal Bone Dissection, live surgery demonstrations, and skill-based CME programs are conducted to train students and practitioners.
