Dr. Suma Rathod Invited as Guest for Senior Citizens’ Programme in Vijayapura

Dr. Suma Rathod, Assistant Professor, Department of Geriatrics, BLDE (Deemed to be University), Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Vijayapura, was invited as a guest by Anubhavamruta Parivar, Aishwarya Nagar, Vijayapura, for a programme held on 19th October 2026 at 11:00 AM at Hotel Shubhashree, Vijayapura.

As part of the programme, Dr. Suma Rathod delivered a special talk on “Health Problems Associated with Longevity.” The session focused on common health concerns associated with ageing and highlighted the geriatric healthcare facilities and services available at our institution. She also emphasized the importance of awareness and timely healthcare support in promoting healthy ageing and improving the quality of life of senior citizens.

Approximately 50 senior citizens participated in the programme, which provided a valuable opportunity to learn about age-related health concerns and the importance of specialized geriatric care.
