79th Independence Day Celebration at BLDE (Deemed to be University)

On 15th August 2025, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated at BLDE (Deemed to be University), Vijayapura.

The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. R. V. Kulkarni, Registrar. The Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Y. M. Jayaraj, hoisted the National Flag and, in his address, stated:

"Today we are celebrating the 79th Independence Day. It is our duty to remember the brave freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence. The sacrifices and struggles of great leaders who fought against British rule have given us the opportunity to live in a free India. On this day, along with remembering their sacrifices, we must also pledge to eliminate corruption, poverty, and unemployment from our society."

As part of the celebration, awards were distributed to postgraduate and medical students as well as faculty members for their achievements in various fields.
