On 07.07.2025, a new GE CT Scan machine (UI Achi Scinity 32 Slice) was inaugurated in the Radiology Department of Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, a constituent of BLDE (Deemed to be University)

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Y. M. Jayaraj, who delivered the inaugural address. He mentioned that this equipment is highly beneficial in diagnosing and examining various diseases. He emphasized that during the COVID-19 pandemic, such equipment played a crucial role in understanding the severity of the disease. He urged all staff members to spread awareness about this service among the public and to ensure its optimal use.

Dr. Aravind V. Patil, the Principal, also addressed the gathering and shared that an even more advanced CT scan unit (UI Achi Scinity 128 Slice) has been installed in the Emergency Unit. This equipment enables Cardiac CT and other high-level diagnostic investigations.

Dr. Arun Inamdar, the Vice-Chancellor, expressed that under the guidance of Dr. M. B. Patil, President of BLDE Association, and Shri B. M. Patil, Chancellor, the college and hospital are at the forefront of providing top-quality education and healthcare services.

The event was attended by Dr. Tejaswini Vallabh, Dr. Vijaykumar Kalyanappagol, Dr. Rajesh Honnutagi, Dr. Satish Patil, and other staff members from the Radiology Department.
